Parent & Child Care Group
Good News for Parents and Children
Children & Parent Care Group is an initiative of EBBC, which started in September 2004. The Group aims to offer a place and time for parents to meet on Monday mornings between 9.30am and 11.30am. At present there are about 25 children enrolled and the average attendance is around 14 to 18. It is a great group, with even week-old babies joining, and we provide encouragement and support to young mothers.
As one mother said, "I love coming here -it is so peaceful and calming," and that was with the hall full of active toddlers a
nd babies!
We ask an attendance fee of £1.50 and provide tea or coffee, and juice for the children, and biscuits for all.
We are an inclusive community and our desire is to affirm and support Parents and Carers of children in any way we can.
Those from EBBC who are involved in running the group, Barbara Harris, and Annie Starr, are on hand to offer a listening ear as the children play.
