FIN Staff
The staff team comprises the following posts, filled by an assortment of people from various backgrounds and, they perform the outlined tasks.
The Director: overall management of the community centre and its services; essentially that of a general manager.
Senior Day Centre Organiser: in charge of the day centre and its staff [including volunteers] maintains a program of activities; assessment potential service users.
Carer Co-ordinator: supports carers in their role by signposting, advice and arranging respite breaks.
Good Neighbour Scheme Co-ordinator: oversees the befriending by volunteers, the gardening for vulnerable people; assessment of service users' homes for Occupational Therapy equipment, arranges transport for people to attend appointments [those who can’t use public transport].
Transport Co-ordinator: ensures the transport fleet is maintained. Organises the daily transport schedules for service users.
Respite Care Organiser: essentially the same post as the Senior Day Centre Organiser, but with responsibility for the Saturday service.
Day Centre Assistants: care of the service users visiting the centre.
Cooks: preparation of lunch on Saturdays.
Driver/ transport assistant: driving the vehicles; deputising for the Transport Co-ordinator.
Outing Organiser: an assistant to the Carer Co-ordinator and Respite Care Organiser.
Friend in Need Community Centre would not be able to operate without the faithful band of volunteers who give of their time to us and the service users.
We always need other volunteers, even if it is just to phone a housebound person say, once a week.
