Stillwaters Project
Still Waters is an initiative of East Barnet Baptist Church working in partnership with Baptist Christians in Sri Lanka to show the love and compassion of Jesus to vulnerable, neglected and exploited children. We provide a safe haven to enable children

to develop into healthy adults, and receive the education and training they need to escape the poverty trap.
Generous gifts from a few individuals and East Barnet Baptist Church helped us to buy the land and complete stage one of the building programme. A gift of £30 per month will provide the food, clothing, home, education and training needs of one child. There are also facilities to contribute to the capital costs of stage two of the building programme and an endeavour to provide an adequate supply of drinking water.
Still Waters provides a home and hope for underprivileged and orphaned children. The project is on a 15 acre site in Tangalle on the south coast of the island, with great potential for agriculture and environemntal development. The first stage is a
home for 24 children.
Still Waters offers practical and emotional support, giving significance to poor and vulnerable children, and helping them to learn and grow in an environment of love and acceptance. They have a secure home, get formal education and can be involved in a wide range of training, including:
farming and agriculture
woodworking and building
computer skills
