RESPITE CARE
On a Saturday, we are able to offer up to 16 people places from 10 a.m. to 3.30 p. m. Priority is given to older people and disabled people with carers. In addition, a limited number of places are also offered to centre members with high levels of care needs. This service offers all the same facilities as our day care, with the addition of a meal prepared by our own cooks.
On Thursdays we can offer up to 8 people a longer day from 9 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. To be eligible for the exten
ded day, the carer must live with the person they care for. Breakfast and a light tea are prepared by day centre staff.
As with our other day care services, transport can be provided to and from the centre.
There is a nominal charge for this provision of respite care.
