Some 6 or 7 years ago the Church was able to purchase the house next door to the church, which consisted of a large Victorian 2 storey semi detached with a 4 metre space between the church and the house and a back garden. 
As the church was outgrowing the worship area it was decided to incorporate the house into the church by:-
Converting the upper floor of the house into 4 bed-sit units, this work was completed in 1998 and let to Christian Action Housing, which uses it to house asylum seekers.
To incorporate the ground floor of the house and the space between the church and the house into the church so as to increase the size of the worship area and provide offices for the church.
To develop the upper floor of the church extension as meeting and seminar rooms.
To provide a garden at the rear of the house that can be used by the children and older people of the church.
To provide access to all parts of the church for disabled people.
The church has recently appointed an architect to review the proposed scheme and produce an agreed layout, so that we can obtain a budget price for the works.
