The c
entre started out in 1980 and over this time we have developed our services in response to friend in Need Community Centre local people's needs.
It is our aim to offer help with the resources we have available.
DAY CARE
We provide support to older people and disabled people in need of social contact and to give a break to carers. Our fa
cilities enable members to:
Take part in activities and outings 
Meet new people in a friendly atmosphere 
Receive personal care

CARERS SUPPORT
Support is available to Carers who are caring for a 
family member.
We offer:
- Support Groups
- Individual Support & Information
- Respite breaks and outings

NEIGHBOURHOOD CARE
The FIN Good Neighbour Scheme provides neighbourly support and friendship to vulnerable people in East and New Barnet.
We offer:
- Befriending
- Emergency shopping
- Shopping bus
- Help with gardening & odd jobs
- Transport to hospital or other services
- Form filling
- Falls prevention advice

COMMUNITY TRANSPORT
Transport at FIN
We provide a transport service for our day centre members We work with the community to provide transport to local health centres and other public services. We hire out our minibuses and 4 seater people carrier to local groups and individuals. All of our vehicles can accommodate wheelchairs (See the Transport page for further details)

Our volunteers make a real difference!
