231 BUILDING PROJECT GETS STARTED

When we started, planning the building development programme two years ago, few of us at that time would have believed that in January 2007 we would be in a position to commence a £600,000 project.

We have good cause for thanksgiving and celebration, “God is good - all the time.” The builders are on site and work is progressing well.

This whole project is a venture of faith. We have learnt to trust God in all things. The funds needed were so large that many times we were fearful of ever reaching the target. But we held on to the vision and went ahead in faith, trembling faith often. We are thankful to the Baptist Trusts and other charitable Trusts who have given us grants and interest-free loans.

We shall make a special appeal to all who worship with us and to all the friends of EBBC, asking them to invest in this Kingdom work.

There is no doubt that we need additional funds to help us settle the outstanding loans, but we have to remember that our first task is to be God’s faith-builders. It is as a people who trust in God for all things that we shall give with glad and thankful hearts to this Kingdom venture.

The Divine love of God made freely available to all people which we must learn to appreciate. In the life, death and resurrection of Jesus, God embraces everyone with unconditional love. All love - what we give and what we receive - flows from the love of God. I pray that you will be blessed and encouraged by God’s love. Let us be generous in loving and giving.
